Services held for Connor Treat

Funeral services for Grant Connor Treat were 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30 th , at the First Baptist Church in Ada. Scott Young officiated the celebration of his life.

Connor passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020. He was born August 24, 1989 in Ada to John and Debra Pennington Treat. He loved his hometown and was a Cougar through and through. He played football and golf for Ada High, but his fondest memories are of the friendships made. He graduated from Ada High School in 2008 and attended the University of Oklahoma which was a lifelong dream.

All who knew him, knew he had a deep love for the Sooners, reading, and Star Wars. He was a loyal friend, who loved and cared for all those around him. Most of all, he loved his family and they adored him. He continued his family’s tradition by working in sales. He was currently working in sales and living in Dallas, Texas.

Survivors include his parents, John and Debra Treat, of Ada; his paternal grandmother Joyce Treat, of Atwood; two brothers, Jerrad Treat and wife Mendi of Bixby, nd Preston Treat and wife, Allicyn of Norman; a sister, Taylor Burget and husband Brian of Norman; and nieces and nephews, Zack, Will, Lincoln, Jack, Colton, Gray, Ford, Hallie, Ava and Boyd. Also, several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bob Treat, and maternal grandparents, Marna and James Pennington.

In honor of Connor, and his love for reading, the family has set up a scholarship in his name. Those who would like to donate, will assist in the dedication of books and literacy scholarships to our community. The family would like to give back to our hometown that has so generously loved him and our family so well.
